Hello there, I’m Ludovic, the man behind Zen Soundproof. I’m a self-confessed film fanatic, a mechanical engineer by trade, and an unapologetic nerd who finds joy in gaming and soundproofing.

- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Interests and Hobbies
Outside of work and Zen Soundproof, I love immersing myself in the classics of cinema, particularly black and white movies. Roman Holiday, featuring the brilliant Audrey Hepburn, is a favorite of mine.
When I’m not enjoying a good film, I’m often engrossed in the Dark Souls series, a testament to my love for games. In the real world, my interests extend to the fast-paced world of Formula 1 and football – a blend of speed, strategy, and skill.
Turning Point
The idea of Zen Soundproof took root when I started renovating my home. Soundproofing it was a necessity for me, but soon I found myself talking about it every day with my coworkers.
As I shared my learnings, I realized that many people confuse acoustics with soundproofing. This realization, combined with my desire to make people’s lives more peaceful, spurred me to share my knowledge on a larger scale, leading to the birth of Zen Soundproof.

Soundproofing is a continually evolving field, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements is crucial.
I regularly partake in courses and webinars from platforms such as aecdaily.com and kineticsnoise.com. Further, my go-to resource for in-depth understanding is the Handbook for Sound Engineers by Ballou.
Philosophy and Approach
In life and at Zen Soundproof, my mantra is simple – provide accurate, easy-to-digest information with no fluff. I believe in the power of understanding and aim to empower my readers through well-researched, practical, and straightforward guides.
Future Vision
Looking ahead, I am excited about the prospect of developing soundproofing solutions, especially for appliances. This combines my love for back-to-back testing as a Mechanical Engineer with my passion for soundproofing. I see this as a significant opportunity to bring more peace and quiet to homes and help people live more comfortably.
